Another Problem on iPhone 5!

Another Apple iPhone 5 Problems?
One of Apple's key providers, Wintek, bumped into production problems with the touch panels for the iPhone 5,DigiTimes reports. according to iPhone supply chain makers. A defect has presented in some iPhone 5 touch panels produced by Wintek which might affect the ability to meet initial shipment targets for the launch which is expected in Octobere defect touch screens with something called a "delayed bubble," difficult to avoid during panel production,
particularly when the defect isn't discovered during the process of laminating touch panels, and only later found during assembly. Since the manufacturing process of touch panels used in iPhone 5 is as same as that for iPhone 4, Wintek is expected to remedy the defect quickly. Wintek will provide 20% - 25% of the touch panels for the iPhone 5, while Taiwan-based TPK holding accounts for 60% - 65% and Chimei Innolux for the balance.
Apple aims to ship 25-26 million units of iPhone 5 in the fourth quarter.

Apple VS Samsung - Real Fight!

No Apple iPhone 5 for South Korean?

Not rumors anymore - The Korea Times reports that Samsung “is seeking a complete ban” on the iPhone 5 sales in Korea – even before the phone is released, not to mention officially announced. Samsung plans to challenge against Apple in court to prevent the latest iPhone handset arriving at South Korean land, according to a Monday report. .“Just after the arrival of the iPhone 5 here, Samsung plans to take Apple to court here for its violation of Samsung’s wireless technology related patents,” said a senior executive from Samsung Electronics.“For as long as Apple doesn't drop mobile telecommunications functions, it would be impossible for it to sell it’s i-branded products without using our patents.

Statistic show’s  local carriers KT and SK Telecom have so far sold about 3.1 million iPhones in the country. The newspaper quotes an unnamed Samsung senior executive:
"Just after the arrival of the iPhone 5 here, Samsung plans to take Apple to court here for its violation of Samsung’s wireless technology related patents. For as long as Apple does not drop mobile telecommunications functions, it would be impossible for it to sell its i-branded products without using our patents. We will stick to a strong stance against Apple during the lingering legal fights". As noted in the report, there are at least 23 lawsuits pending between those two companies worldwide, even as they hold a business relationship covering the sale and delivery of flash memory and microprocessors.

Another unnamed Samsung executive is quoted saying the South Korean company is “quite confident” in its legal position. Until now, Apple has acquired a permanent sales injunction in Germany, with Samsung voluntarily holding off on Australian sales while a judge there waits for more data. Apple has also filed suit in Japan against Samsung. Adding to that “so will other envisioned efforts against such products as the iPhone 5″. The report carries on to mention that iPhone sports an LG Display-made screen, LG Innotek’s 8megapixel camera, Samsung-made NAND flash and A5 chip and an NFC chip for wireless payment.
The twist in this case, of course, is the fact that Apple is Samsung’s biggest customer, buying displays, NAND flash memory and custom-built A4 and A5 chips for its products. It has been reported that Samsung may soon lose its iOS device processor contract as Apple turns to rival TSMC.

iPhone 5 OR iPad Nano?

The rumours about the forthcoming iPhone 5, expected to be announced this month, but seems like Apple's still like to play hide and seek. The iPhone 5 will have a bigger screen, smaller bezel, tablet shaped home button and thinner than the current iPhone. Or perhaps Apple will revamp the iPhone 4 into an iPhone 4S,just like they did with the 3G/3GS. Or maybe they are bringing in an all-new cheap pre-pay iPhone as well as an iPhone 5. It is completely very confusing. What if this rumours are stumping and not a new iPhone 5 but a new Apple iPhone 4S or maybe they're instead mixing up, they turn it into NEW iPAD NANO? Why not? both are using same IOS 5 operating system, both got the same A5 processor. That's mean instead of having iphone and an ipad, how about you get both at a price as ONE!

What if Apple uses the iPad carrier model for the Touch, shipping two versions: Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi+3G? The Wi-Fi model would be just what we have now, only with a four-inch screen and pill-shaped home button, and the Wi-Fi+3G would come with a 3G chipset and GPS. Buyers could opt in and out of monthly data plans just like they do with the iPad Wi-Fi+3G.

What about phone calls? It won’t make them, but I’d expect most customers for the iPad Nano (or iPod Touch 3G, or whatever it’s called) will either already have crappy pre-paid cellphones or be tied into a work-contract phone and not want another monthly bill. Or they barely do not care about phones anymore. But it's crucially to have both FaceTime and iMessage. These are data-only replacements for voice calls, video calls, and texts (SMS). Right now FaceTime doesn’t beat up 3G, but there are reports that this will change in new Apple's iOS 5.

Everybody already knew and even a kids  already opt for BlackBerry’s to use BlackBerry Messenger (BBM) to send and receive free messages. Every parents probably would buy their children a device with a fixed and low bill/month that would cover all communication.  Apple CEO Tim Cook already mentioned pre-pay iPhones, saying that Apple “understood price is big factor in the prepaid market.” It would be a typical Apple move to sidestep the question of pre-pay phones altogether by simply eliminating the need for a phone as we know it. High-volume users of voice will either have to opt for a more expensive monthly plan or switch to a regular phone contract. It's a win - wins situation.

This aticle is completely speculation, for sure. but I have seen and shared the same moon as anyone else.

Latest News - Apple iPhone 5O ct. 15 Launch?

Apple iPhone 5O ct. 15 Launch?

We gone another week without any announcement or official statement from Apple's about its next-gen iPhone -
Apple iPhone 5 remains the most awaited smartphone in the U.S. market, and Apple's projection of selling 25 million iPhones by the end of 2011 adds credence to the expectation that the release is just around the corner. In a Thursday report, TechCrunch said France Telecom CEO Stéphane Richard told a group of reporters that the iPhone 5 would be released on October 15. But as the blog remarked, Apple's U.S. releases do not always coincide with international launches.

however Mike Abramsky, an analyst at RBC Capital Markets, recently told his clients that two-thirds around 66 % of existing iPhone users were "really or somewhat likely to buy the iPhone 5." He described such demand as "unprecedented,” suggesting the product is guaranteed to be hugely successful. but still rumors is rumors.

Samsung Galaxy S2 VS Apple iPhone 5

As for Apple Inc.'s iPhone 5, most features are attributed to the realm of rumors but some are more likely to be in the phone than others. For sure, the iPhone 5 will feature the latest iOS 5 operating system, the A5 processor found in the iPad 2, an 8-megapixel camera and a slimmer and thinner design.

Apple’s iPhone 5 is seeing “unprecedented demand” ahead of its release, which is rumored to come in October, according to a recent survey conducted by RBC Capital Markets. The data showed that 31 percent of the respondents were very/somewhat likely to buy the iPhone 5, significantly exceeding the pre-launch iPhone 4 demand of 25 percent.

In the second half of 2011, the heated battle will be between the Apple iPhone 5 and Samsung Galaxy S2. Both of these smartphones are right up there in the hype clouds, and hopefully they can both live up to it.

Here is a look at 10 reasons why the Galaxy S2 will score over the iPhone 5.

  1. Operating System:
  2. Processing Power:
  3. Display:
  4. Design:
  5. Security:
  6. Flash:
  7. Near Field Communication (NFC):
  8. Connectivity:
  9. Battery and Memory:
  10. Apps and open source:

1-0 :Operating System: Apple's iPhone 5 is expected to come equipped with the recently announced iOS 5. The important features of iOS 5 are already found in Android, except iMessage that is mostly copied from RIM's BlackBerry. The iOS 5 important features include the notification bar, cloud synchronization, wireless syncing, Twitter integration and Widgets.

In recent days, Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS is used in smartphones and Android 3.0 Honeycomb OS is used in tablets. But the next version of Android called Ice Cream Sandwich will be a single OS running across smartphones and tablets.

2-0 :Processing Power: The Sprint and AT&T version of Galaxy S2 is equipped with dual-core 1.2 GHz ARM Cortex-A9 Mali-400MP GPU Orion chipset, while the T-Mobile version will be powered by a 1.5 GHz dual core Qualcomm APQ8060 processor. It is backed by 1 GB of RAM. This is almost equal to the processing power of a desktop machine.

Meanwhile, the iPhone 5 is expected to come with the iPad 2's processor but it is doubtful if it would exceed the 1.2 GHz barrier. With improved versions of Galaxy S2 about to feature 1.5 GHz processor with 3D graphics support, iPhone 5 needs more to match up to Samsung’s flagship phone.

3-0 :Display: Super AMOLED Plus display is considered to be the best available technology for mobile displays. Samsung is the only manufacturer of Super AMOLED Plus displays and if one wants to experience the best screen there is no other choice in the market.

The Super AMOLED Plus display helped Samsung Droid Charge to become one of the best selling devices on Verizon, overtaking HTC Thunderbolt. The iPhone 5 will just be an improved version but still will not be able to match Super AMOLED Plus.

The Super AMOLED Plus display delivers superior color, enhanced readability, slimmer form and better battery consumption than the previous generation. The Real-Stripe panel technology brings 30 percent more pixels per inch for a brighter, clearer and richer viewing experience compared with the first-generation AMOLED. Also it uses less space and consumes 18 percent less energy than previous displays, making it one of the longest-lasting smartphones available.

4-0 :Design: Apple's iPhone 5 will be just an upgrade of its previous versions. When it comes to the Galaxy S2, the very delay in reaching the U.S. shores shows that Samsung is prepping various designs with improved modifications and specs with different carriers.

The latest report shows that T-Mobile, AT&T and Sprint are going to offer their versions of Samsung Galaxy S2. Sprint unveiled its Samsung Galaxy S2 version known as Samsung Galaxy S2 Epic Touch 4G, which retains all the basic specifications of the Galaxy S2, except for the 4.5-inch display.

5-0 :Security: The approaches for Android and iOS security are different. Apple verifies all the apps before allowing it onto App Store to prevent a virus, but the rest of the phone is semi-vulnerable. Although Android does not check the apps, the apps are run in an isolated way so as not to affect the system in the event of a virus attack.

Both Android and iOS require you to sign in with some form of an account in order to download/install apps from the applicable store/marketplace. For iOS, you use your iTunes account. For Android, you use your Google account.

6-0 :Flash: Flash is a major drawback in the iPhone. The Samsung Galaxy S2 supports Flash. The Galaxy S2 supports full HD video playback inside Adobe Flash player. There is no other device at present which allows full HD video playback even inside Adobe Flash player.

According to Apple, Adobe Flash is a big security risk, not to mention it crashes lots and kills your battery life. Rather than using Flash, Apple has adopted HTML5, CSS and JavaScript – all open standards. Apple’s mobile devices all ship with high performance, low power implementations of these open standards.

7-0 :Near Field Communication (NFC): Samsung Galaxy S2 supports the NFC chip that allows for simplified transactions, data exchange and connections with a touch. As of now, NFC is just a rumor for iPhone 5 and most probably Apple won’t be embracing the technology, since Near Field Communication has no industry standards.

Given that its main smartphone rival is offering the mobile payment service, Apple may have harbored thoughts of integrating the new technology in the soon-to-come iPhone 5 in order to remain competitive in the market.

8-0 :Connectivity: Galaxy S2 already supports 3G data speeds up to 21 Mbps (HSPA + networks), but with the Galaxy S2 LTE version poised to feature HSPA up to 42 Mbps, the iPhone 5 doesn’t stand a chance in terms of speed.

9-0 :Battery and Memory: Galaxy S2 has the privilege of expandable memory and a removable battery. Apple's iPhone versions differ from other smartphones in the market in terms of removable storage as none of them have featured one.

In terms of RAM memory, Apple never reveals its capacity and it always turns out to be less than other phones. Hence, the Galaxy S2 holds the advantage of 1 GB RAM to match the dual core processor.

If the iPhone 5 does feature 4G support, then that alone will reduce the battery life of the iPhone 5 to less than 8 hours. Galaxy S2's battery life is not the best on the face of the planet, but it easily lasts a day with good use and can stretch out to two days with mostly calls and texting.

10 - 0 :Apps and open source: The Android market has improved in quality and quantity over the past few years and is expected to surpass the App store. The biggest plus point about Android apps is that majority of the quality apps are free.

Android Market is an online software store developed by Google for Android OS devices. Its gateway is an app called "Market", preinstalled on most Android devices, allows users to browse and download apps published by third-party developers.

Anyone can get access to the source of Android to better the system. If any weaknesses are found in the open source community, they are quickly fixed.

Though Apple's iOS is not an open source, 200 million users have downloaded over 15 billion apps from Apple's App Store. As of May 2011, Apple approved its 500,000th app.

Apple iPhone 5 Pre-launch - Unprecedented

Pre-launch Demand for Apple iPhone 5 Unprecedented. Excitement seems like running high ahead of the October launch from the Apple iPhone 5, higher maybe than it has been before any of iPhone launch. That is to say, afresh analyze that displays unprecedented demand for the next generation of Apple’s smartphone.
A survey of 2,200 consumers collected August from ChangeWave for RBC Capital Markets indicates 31 % of responders really expected or reasonably likely to buy the iPhone 5 — significantly more than the 25 % who said they were very or slightly likely to buy the iPhone 4 ahead of its launch. And that percentage is quite a bit more eminent amongst current iPhone owners; 66 % of existing iPhone users said they're really or somewhat probably to buy the iPhone 5.
In other words, we could see a very large iPhone upgrade cycle, come October — large enough that RBC has raised its estimate for fiscal 2012 iPhone gross revenue to 110 million, up from 105 million.

Apple iPhone 5 Delayed Again?

Apple Gadgets Review: News said Apple iPhone 5 launch in October, not September
According to a new report there is no iPhone 5 in September, Apple will launch its new iPhone in October, not September,
The Apple iPhone 5 rumour-mill continues to grind with All Things D reporting today that the new iPhone 5 will be released in October this year. That contradicts earlier rumours which suggested September as the likely time of release, specifically September 5.
All Things D, citing “sources with knowledge of the situation” said that rumours that the iPhone 5 would launch in September were misinformed. The blog said its sources expected a launch late in October.
The new report does not rule out the possibility that Apple will announce the new phone some time in September and launch it the following month.
Last week it was reported that the new phone would launch in the US in September, with an international launch in October.
Forthcoming Apple products always generate rumours and speculation, not least because the company very rarely talks about future products.

The iPhone 5 Release Date Delayed!

Apple Gadgets Reviews - iPhone 5.
A rumor from a Chinese website that the iPhone 5 delayed because Apple dual-core processor is overheating. The problem maybe caused by iPhone 5 A5 processor overheating due to a bigger battery and the smaller size of display screen or LCD. The same processor is currently found on the Apple iPad 2, even if they do not have an overheating problem in the iPad 2. Because of this issue, some rumors spread that the next generation iPhone will not be launching soon, but Apple will launch a minor upgrade version of the iPhone 4 which may be named iPhone 4S. The launch of the new iPhone is expected later this year and whether it will be called iPhone 4S or iPhone 5 is still not for certain.
